Urgently seeking partners / experts for an exciting and worthwhile OpenSim project

Hi,

I'm urgently seeking techie partners to help develop a virtual world using OpenSim (or similar). The project needs to be discussed, overall parameters agreed, written up and submitted to the funding agency by March 15th!

Partners should preferably be EU-based, have in-depth knowledge and expertise in building virtual worlds, interested in supporting people with learning disabilities and willing to work as part of a cooperative team.

If the project is accepted (no guarantees), the financial reward would not enable you to retire, but the promotional impact is potentially huge!

Hello Jan, your time frame is tight - do you have any of this written out at all? Is there a proforma to base this on? A verbal explanation sounds too loose for serious consideration but I would not mind seeing some of this concept if something exists (like a Google doc). I would consider myself as having exceptional virtual world skills/experience as well as being educated and experienced as a teacher, both of which I can clearly point to with tangible online work.

Also if the budget only allows for promotional consideration as compensation, then no need to answer me, I have more than enough presence online. =)

Hi Ener,

I do apologise for not having responded earlier - I forgot to ensure that 'send to email' was on, and I have only just logged back in to AVW and seen your message!

I managed to make the deadline (by 15 minutes!) with a partner I found through Linked In based on a Unity platform. However, if we get the funding, I'll be exploring ways in which we can extend the project into Second Life and I'll be seeking partners for that particular aspect of the project. It all depends on whether we get the funding or not ... fingers crossed!

But I have another couple of projects in the pipeline, so I'll make sure that I receive replies to me in my email box next time!
