A new internet TV program launches on February 1st that delves into how people spend their lives online. Life On Line, as the name suggests is about how people are increasingly spending more of their lifetime using the internet .

The TV show is the brain-child of Australian journalist and communications consultant Steve Cropper, who in 2008 was 'Angelico Babii', host of the LATE SHOW on Metaverse-TV (www.metaverse-tv.com) and the creator of My-Metaverse (www.my-metaverse.com) a social network for people involved in the new media arts on the web.

"We want to go deeper into how people use their online time for news and entertainment, creativity, love, friendship, business, shopping, political engagement, work and play - or any other reason", said Cropper. "We also scan the internet for emerging new talent - musicians, movie makers, writers, bloggers - anyone who is contributing to the richness of digital life".

Life On Line includes a cast of seasoned bloggers, journalists and entertainers including internet band, Space Junky - three people living in the US, Australia and Malaysia who collaborate, record, produce and market their music entirely onine. The line-up also boasts the Marketing Director of the Association of Virtual Worlds, Andrew Peters who is also a leading practitioner of social networking and internet marketing campaigns. Every episode features internet news man Sigmund Leominster, a veteran blogger. There are guest comedians and musicians and interviews with people making news across the internet.

You are invited to visit the life-on-line viewers' group website at www.life-on-line.ning.com

Hi. I am writing to invite you to My Metaverse (http://www.mymetaverse.ning.com). My Metaverse is about developing the new media arts and community across all the virtual worlds. Here's where you can upload your original music, original machinima or movies, start a blog or comment on others, join a group like the musicians, the machinimatographers, the journalists, the comedians and actors - and of course any of the Virtual World groups. This is also a place where you can send out news stories to the online journalists in the NEWS group. Hope to see you there.

Hope to see you there soon

It seems that IMVU is becoming very concerned with the level of legal discussions on their forums and have Banned all discussions concerning legalities. That seems like an extremely hardline tactic and makes me wonder what they are trying to hide and why legal discussions would worry them so much.

hello all
its sad to first to quit developing for imvu and than to join a group called imvu developers-but at this moment developing there became a real frustration-thats what imvu is standing for:I(rritation),M(addness),V(ery) U(pset)

lets hope that something will change there soon, before i realy stop to care about it at all:(

It's safe to say I'm done developing content for IMVU. Nothing new from me is going into the catalog. Not like IMVU would likely notice or care. But the way I see it, they don't care a bit about any of the users, developers or otherwise, so really, at this point I don't care if they sink.

Definitely exploring other Vw's now. So far SL is looking fairly good for me.

The HMS IMVU is indeed a sinking ship, I think now is a good time to grab a lifeboat before they are all gone, and abandon ship!

IMVU sure isn't much fun for developing new products these days - That's for sure! Let's hope we can find the strength to stay positive and professional here in AVW. We never know when we might discover a new VW to pursue from the resources here.
