I'm delighted to announce that Tamsin Barzane's innovative interactive exhibition, The Middle Passage Experience, has now relocated to a permanent home on solipCISM. A role-play 'serious game' in which participants assume the identities of enslaved Africans, this is a dramatic and deeply moving educational installation that puts a very human face on the history of the Atlantic Slave Trade. Please visit the exhibition at http://slurl.com/secondlife/SolipCISM/218/243/23

The launch of the much anticipated SEACOM cable happens in 62 days in Africa. It will change the face of internet access and do a lot for digital divide. We are excited. It is the beginning of growth of Africans into virtual worlds..

My daughter and son-in-law have a video production company in Tanzania. I'm active in SL and Openlife, and I'm interested in how virtual worlds can be beneficial to African countries.
