Hi everyone. I've managed the largest continent outside the Mainland in Second Life, working as Community Manager for Anshe Chung Studios' Dreamland, for the past 2 years. I have now separated from that group and have my own Angelic Dreams Virtual Estates providing land and development for any size project. We cater to the up-scale residential and commercial markets. We differentiate ourselves by "extreme customer service". You can find our office at Oxford Park sim.

If your're in the Boston area, there is a Second Life "meet-up" group that meets irregularly. You can probably find a similar group in most US cities.

I love to help people, and will provide knowledge and advice gratis to anyone who wants to discuss a virtual land issue.

Hi from across the metaverse. I have been in SL since Jan 2004, currently back home in SL after exploring Entropia Universe for little over a year and helping Anshe Chung get her bank setup there. I am trying to sell out all my EU stuff so if you have need of wussy girlie guns or armors or whatever let me know. Profits from the sales of my EU stuff will go toward purchase of 2 sims to finally get my Philae Project off and going. I have been offered some small assist from one of the EDU groups in SL since this will be a historical reconstruction and all that.

Oh yah. I am also known a Aura Lily across the various parts of the metaverse.

After getting the Philae Project going I hope to be part of the Beta Team for the new game from Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment and MGM Studios called Stargate Worlds. I'm not sure if this one will be part of the real cash economies (RCE) group of virtual places but it has potential for sure. Its not even in closed beta yet but already has over 32K people signed up on the hyperactive forums and has spawned numerous fansites. The buzz around this game is incredible. I even redid my temple on Themiskyra to look similar to one of the screencaps the devs of SGW posted.

Shameless plug for my upcoming theatre production in SL below. I am interested in getting feedback, as I have submitted a paper proposal for SLED08 to discuss the project.

I am working on a project that is called CORE™: Cult of Ruth Eternal, that is a semiotic study of the history of second life, and translating the imagery, symbols and icons into a church/religious structure. There has been much discussion lately about the onslaught of browser 3D VW (google's lively latest entry) vs client based environments like Second Life. I personally see the present and potential users as two different market segments. There will be a rather long period before browser technology can compete with SL's creative and economic environment. Second life is not for the busy executive or teckie who simply wants to get through the social interecation quickly and move on. SL is for those that have time to learn and create there. The shallow nature of browser based VW is ideal for speed and easy interface. The in-depth experience of SL is ideal for learning and creating in-world content as well as truly immersive educational experience.
I'd like to know what you all think about this topic. Will browser based VW replace SL or will they co-exist as two distinct products targetting different market segments.
