Thanks for starting this Steve, looks like a good initiative.
I have been discussing creating a VW just for arts, maybe interactive cross media/arts is a wider and better scope. What do you think?

Hi Chris

I honestly am not certain which way is the best way to go. I created My Metaverse after talking with several people with whom I collaborate in-world to create the LATE SHOW with Angelico Babii on Metaverse-TV. (www.metaverse-tv.com). As we are always on the look-out for original music acts, stand-up comics, original machinima and interview guests for that and other programs, we have formed a broad acquaintance across several of what we term the "new media arts" in the virtual worlds.

Arising from that need and incidental social network, I elected to organise it into My Metaverse, partly for added convenience, but mostly to attract more like-minded people together.

Where that goes from here is for fate and all the members to decide. But if it were entirely up to me, I would like to see more people posting their original music, machinima, graphic art, photos and writing to the site because recently some of the newest members have included talent agents, entrepreneurs on the look-out for a good investment. So one day we might become something of a marketplace for online talent.

Lastly, some enterprising people have formed a group for technologists to showcase their new scripts, codes and programs. And there is a group in there now called Visual Arts, but I don't think there's much going on in there and I am not entirely certain what the group is all about. The tag merely reads, somewhat hopefully, "Show us your stuff".
