How Green are Virtual Worlds ? Hi I am doing research on the GHG emissions from ICT in general and virtual world technologies in particular. I would be interested in any experiences ,examples members have of the use by businesses of VWT that specifically reduced business travel and hence GHG emissions ?

You might find this podcast interview on technical communications in virtual worlds interesting as the panel of speakers are all involved in real world work inside of virtual worlds. It was done last week and is sponsored by the Montreal Society for Technical Communication.

I am wondering if anyone can provide info, or send me on the right path....I am new to the virtual world, but need to gather info. We are a small publishing company in Atlanta designed to connect buyers and sellers of information technology within our state.

We are ready to begin moving towards use of virtual concepts for fulfillment of our mission and to have less dependency on the physical products of our past. I am exploring to locate centers of information related to new initiatives related to emerging virtual tools and applications for virtual world.
