If you are interested in trying ActiveWorlds go to this page, scroll down to the Browser 4.x link and save it to your harddrive. Once you install AW you will land in the greeting world called AWGate. People can show you how to use it there ;o}

You can remain unregistered (we call that a "tourist") for as long as you like for free, but you are limited in what you can wear, where you can go, etc. As with all VRs it's best to register, if you like it. AW is comparable to any other VR of it's kind in pricing. You can find out more about that from their website. Be sure to give yourself ample time to load the world(s) as you visit, there are several hundred to choose from.
