Thanks for your comment. Wow, we _are_ practically neighbors. Clark Elementary is one of the schools I visit for summer reading promotion. Small world. Was that number meant for me? I apologize, I have trouble reading the message board.
I've been in touch with Mike Eisenberg in the past, trying to figure out a way that UW, FAS and Syracuse U can be all involved together in Virtual Worlds.
If you're interested, would you like to discuss possibilities.
Hi Randy,
In response to the skills required for certification in VWs I'd suggest incorporating the information literacy skills identified at http://www.ala.org/ala/aasl/aaslproftools/informationpower/InformationLiteracyStandards_final.pdf
Critical thinking, problem solving, lateral thinking ...are all also good :-) It'll be interesting to see responses to your query and to see your final determination - do keep me posted please. Cheers
Hey thanks everyone. I look forward to learning and playing together. I'm very bullish on virtual worlds. Second Life is at the top of the heap, Forterra help relieve firewall anxiety and Protosphere for Learning and application sharing is awesome. What are your top three virtual worlds, and why? 2008 will be a breakout year for VWs.
