After a prolonged coma, and years of rehabilitation, I came to Second Life, to look into a possible "window to the world". About time

wow.....almost a year later since my registration as a AVW member and this is my first blog?! Goodness. Well. I shall rectify this with a short update:

This is My-Space

Today is my first day here...and I feel like perhaps this is finally my own space.

Around 4 p.m. (after teaching), I revisited Virginia Woof’s A Room of One’s Own… Woolf says,“…it is particularly difficult for a modern to transmit reality. Second Life

I have deleted second Life from my Mac. I had no problem with Second Life itself, unfortunately some of the avatars where clearly aimed at sexual attraction with enlarged physical features.

The problem for me was that my two youngest 8 and 10 had access to my account and I was a little uncomfortable with some of the images they were seeing while I was looking over their shoulder.

As I say no criticism of Second Life itself just some of the users.
