Benefit for Pet Victims in Japan

My own animals are such an important part of my life and bring me such joy every day, I cannot imagine life without them. How would I react if I lived in Japan when the earthquake, tsunami, and subsequent disasters hit and I was separated from from my dear dogs? I can't imagine. How would I care from my faithful companions during the period of emergency and during the days and weeks that followed? I don't know exactly, but I do know that I would have to depend on the kindness of strangers.

The folks at the Virtual Kennel Club can imagine the heartache of being separated from their pets all too well. This is why they approached the organizers of Project FUR Japan and asked, "How can we get involved?" When she heard about the level of involvement the VKC proposed, Blazin Aubret, the organizer of the project, exclaimed, "i love you and i dont even know you:("

Join the VKC in supporting RL rescue efforts in Japan by visiting Plumhill, where you will find opportunities to purchase items from all the best creators in SL. Spend as freely as your budget will allow because 100% of the money from your purchases will go to support JEARS and help some poor lonely but not forgotten pet in Japan.

Blazin Aubret announced today that they have decided on a closing date for PFJ :( Although she doesn't ever want it to end, they will be cleaning the sim up on Sunday, May 1st. The project has raised over 7 million Lindens!! ♥ Thanks to everyone so much for your support!

There is still time to TP over to Plumhill and pick up a few last-minute items or to drop a few Lindens into a donation box. The pets and their people who are the victims of the series of disasters in Japan still need our help.

The final tally is in. Project FUR Japan has raised over L$7 million (over $US26,500) in support of JEARS

So many thanks are in order. Thanks to go all of you who supported the project with your donations and your purchases. Thanks go to Blazin Aubret, Tristin Careless, Sanura Snowpaw, and Isaiah for organizing and running the event. Thanks go to the creators who donated such wonderful items.

Let's have a hearty cheer for all that's been accomplished!

Cashing out so much money turns out to be a monumental task in itself. Not only are their daily limits but also, apparently, monthly limits, too. Nonetheless, Blazin Aubret has donated another $19,900 to JEARS, the largest donation they've ever received from a single source! There is a bit more Lindens to cash out, so there will be another donation next month. Read all the details and see the receipts at the Project FUR Japan website.

Thanks to all who stepped up to support this world-wide effort!

Is This Cougar Alright ??

Watch him as he goes around and around not sure of what to do. I question him walking in circles. What do you think about this?
