Remember the Forgotten — DJ Event for Project FUR Japan

Project FUR Japan, with the participation of the Virtual Kennel Club and so many of SL's premier creators, made L$100,000 within about a half hour of opening! By the morning of April 4 the project has gathered over L$2.5 MILLION! This is not including the US$1400 already sent JEARS, the coalition of animal rescue organizations based in Japan. But the need is great, so more support is needed.

Plumhill is now TP anywhere so you can arrive at any chosen location to find the items of greatest interest to you. The VKC, of course, occupies a central location, so we are easy for visitors to find. Remember that 100% of all sales and donations will go directly to JEARS.

Yesterday, so many people showed up in search of a particular vendor while I was tending the VKC booth that I taught one of my VKC Dogs to act as a tour guide who could lead visitors to certain vendors that were a bit more of a challenge to find. At my command, the dog goes to the person to be guided, leads him or her through the sim, stops and points at the vendor in question, barks, and then returns to my side. As you can see, it is not only the VKC owner, Enrico Genosse, and the VKC Park Service staff who are pitching in, the VKC Dogs themselves are lending a paw.

This weekend a 12-hour DJ event, Remember the Forgotten, will take place to benefit Japan Earthquake Animal Rescue and Support (JEARS). Bring all your friends to join in the fun, win some of the hourly prizes (all donated, of course), and dance the night away — all for a good cause. The lost, homeless, and injured animals in Japan are counting on us.
