This is so cool!

Previously, I have talked about the VKC mixed breed dog, affectionately known as the Widget. Yesterday, I was looking over the new and improved VKC website and learned more. If you click on the page for the Mutt (Widget), you will see the record of charitable giving. A portion of all Widget sales in SL are donated in real money to a dog-related charity. How cool is that!

There's a discussion thread at Virtual Dog Talk where you can submit your ideas for worthy charities. According to VKC leaders to whom I have talked in world, even if you don't buy a dog your charity will be considered for selection as the next organization to benefit from Widget sales. If you don't want to take part in the discussion online, you can simply click on the Widget sign conveniently located in your favorite VKC Dog Park.
